beer of the week

Seasonal brew, an exciting new discovery. Thanks to my new roommate, Kate, (quite the beer connoisseur) who's been encouraging me to try new things, I reached the actual point the other day where a taste for beer was acquired! It was Tecate in the Taqueria Davis during their famous Thursday night "happy hour": dollar beers and dollar tacos. At that perfect moment it was exactly what was needed.
Apart from that and some other fun new frontiers (double chocolate laager anyone?) I've ventured out from under Kate's wings and discovered my new favorite brew of the moment: Buffalo Bill's seasonal Pumpkin Ale. Very October - even Thanksgiving, more nutmeggy than squashish. I'm enjoying fabricating fall here in California with tactics such as these.

*Also, gracias a mi amiga fiel Melina por enseñarme sobre té de apio. My enjoyed tea of the moment!
